I created a free wiki through wikispaces. I am hoping to use it with my students next year but I do not yet know all the content I will be teaching, I only have my technology curriculum so I just wrote basic information on the wiki. Wikispaces allows educators to create private wikis for free!

You are doing the right thing. I am about to begin my 38th year of teaching and I too have a wiki, a blog, a teachertube space and looked at Second Life. I even have an avatar. My wiki space is for my library students. They will be discussing books that I have reviewed and that they have read.
