Google Scholar is a great resource. Keep in mind that not all articles that Google Scholar finds are easily available in full text. Often, after finding something interesting on Google Scholar, you will have to go to your library database to find the article. Would it be better to start kids off in the library database in the first place?
It would be better to start the students off in the library database. That would ensure that the students can have access to full-text verisons, either online or print. I was thinking that Google Scholar would be something to inform students of and hope they at least use it rather than just a normal Google search. It may help students who are researching at home and try to take the quick and easy way.
